I am basically a Naturalist. My career of passion towards research field exclusively in coastal environment started from my Master’s degree as an Oceanographer and Marine Biologist. My research focuses on the conservation ecology and especially emphasis on sustainable management of Marine Ecosystem. My thesis research over five years of experience in the field, efforts involve the Identification, taxonomy and ecology of tanaids crustaceans, especially species that inhabit Benthic Ecosystem and in lab, culture of tanaids for live feed in aquaculture (New record of tanaids in Pulicat Coastal Lake – Ph.D research). In addition, I maintain an abiding interest in the ecology and taxonomic identification of benthic invertebrates in general. My lab's experience over past 10 years is on knowledge developing and using integrative approaches from Remote Sensing and Geographic information System in ocean and coastal ecosystem (Image Interpretation, Thematic Mapping, Land Use / Land Cover Mapping, Spatial Analysis). Basic working knowledge in Statistical Analysis used in field of biology. Currently, initiated research focus towards in lab, on Marine Ornamental Culture Technology (Clown Fish) and in field, at Palk Bay region.

My qualifications include dedication to research and a thorough knowledge of the unique marine environment. I hold a Ph.D. in Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies and ten years of experience as a Marine Biologist. In my research period I was working as project officer in various projects (Environmental assessment studies, Molluscan distribution and oyster assessment studies). I held a fascination with Environmental impact Studies an interest that developed into my education and my current career working as a researcher. I bring sharp focus patient methodologically-driven research and sound scientific practice to my role as a marine biologist. Having a good knowledge in Marine sampling devices, biological equipments and sample analysis and with Under Water Diving skill and experience. I have published too many scientific journals and keep constantly up-to-date with research in my field. My excellent research skills have in turn led to publication in multiple journals as a cutting-edge researcher. I know I am the right fit for the Marine Biologist position.

I am interested in all aspects of polychaete especially their taxonomy, culture, live feed and ecology of polychaetes. Since being appointed as Project fellow in UGC Major Project Scheme for the year 2009-12 my research has focused on describing the Pulicat hydrobiology and Marine macro and meio fauna especially the Polychaetes. In addition to my interest in polychaete, I have been heavily involved in studying the maintenance of fish aquarium and taxonomy of marine gastropods and bivalves. I completed my doctoral thesis on “STUDIES ON ECOLOGY, LIVE FEED CAPABILITY AND MOLECULAR RELATIONSHIP OF POLYCHAETES IN PULICAT BRACKISH WATER LAKE, SOUTH EAST INDIA” submitted in the year 2015 waiting for viva.

Biotechnology, Taxonomy of crab and polychaete, farming of mud crab and very much Keen and interested in socio community activities among fishery community peoples. Now currently working on “polychaete culture which involves with aquaculture waste water recycles system” also done thesis paper of “TAXONOMICAL ASSESSMENT OF CRABS WITH SPECIAL STUDY ON FIDDLER CRAB IN PULICAT (BRACKISH WATER LAKE) SOUTHEAST INDIA.”
